A Moment of Reflection to Amplify Present, Focus, and Gratitude


I'd like you to take a moment, just a brief pause from whatever you are doing. If it feels comfortable, gently close your eyes. Now, please take a deep, calming breath with me.


Inhale... Exhale...


Feel the room around you, the weight of your body on the chair, the gentle tug of gravity. You're here, with me, in this very moment... and that's beautiful.


Life can rush past us in an energetic flurry, feeling like a roller-coaster journey that often leaves us dizzy. Because of this, it's fundamental to remind ourselves of three simple, but potent mantras: Be present. Be focused. Be grateful.


Be Present

"Being present" could seem a cliché in our modern vocabulary, but it's a reminder to inhabit the ongoing moments of our existence consciously. It's a nudge to feel the world immediately around us, savoring the textures, colors, and sounds that usually fade into the background of a busy life. Recognize each moment as it comes, not as a roadblock between past and future, but as a precious, singular experience.


Remember, it's alright if your mind occasionally wanders off to the past or future. Gently shepherd it back to the 'here-and-now', like you might guide a friend. This moment is your present.


Be Focused

Next, we stride towards the concept of being focused. In this era of incessant information, it's easy to be swept along in the tide, pulled this way and that by the undercurrents of daily distractions. Despite this chaos, maintain your course, and keep your compass pointed toward your True North.


Being focused doesn’t mean ignoring everything around us. Instead, it encourages seeing the larger picture while keeping our goals within sight. Hold onto your goals like a comforting cup of warm tea, allowing the warming essence to keep you energized and focused on your path.


Be Grateful

Lastly, but by no means least, is the notion of being grateful. Embracing a state of gratitude can fill our lives with warmth as we acknowledge the beauty around us. From the everyday magic of a blossoming flower to the sacred privilege of having loved ones in our lives.


It's easy to overlook these blessings as our attention gets drawn to the challenges and hitches in life. Let's remember, that every dawn is followed by daylight. The gratitude we carry in our hearts can help us see the emerging light, even in our darkest hours.
